→ About

Mar Gimeno Lumbiarres (1994) is a spanish-catalan multimedia artist, film director & experience designer based in Rotterdam (NL).

In recent years, she has specialized in XD and immersive narratives to create projects that attract diverse audiences, inviting them to research, reflect and trigger behavioural change through interactivity and storytelling. She has worked on projects for Mobile World Capital, NASA JPL and Boston Children's Hospital.

For-Mar, innovation involves staying connected to the roots. Heritage, anthropology, cognitive science, paganism and nature are always at the centre of her work.

Her themes swing between nature, life-death, universal memory, witchcraft and esotericism. She finds beauty in the grotesque and holds that darkness is the essence of light.

La Fotògrafa del Poble
IN PROGRESS

            Anita Gispert Vila (Exhibition)

IN PROGRESS.

Anita Gispert Vila was known for being the official photographer in Caldes de Montbui (northen Spain) back in 1915. However, over the passing generations, her legacy faded, and she was often mistakenly perceived as a man due to her signature, represented by "A. Gispert."

Anita will have her archive showcased for the first time at the THERMALIA History Museum in Caldes de Montbui.

This exhibition highlights her pioneering role as a woman photographer in the early 20th century, exploring her work within the context of societal changes and women’s evolving roles.

Visitors can reflect on these themes interactively by visiting the replica of Anita’s studio, diving into her animated portraits with AI and enjoy a permanent XR route through the streets of Caldes de Montbui, immersing themselves in Anita’s legacy and the town’s history.

The exhibition features a never-before-seen photo collection curated from an open call to the residents of Caldes. Citizens shared their most cherished family archives, adding a deeply personal and communal dimension to the exhibit.

Curation: Mar Gimeno Lumbiarres
Design: Pep Gaspar
